After being traded from the Buffalo Sabres to the Oilers this summer, the 20-year-old is looking for a chance to show that he belongs on an NHL squad full time. During last year's season in the WHL, Savoie was scoring at a two points per game pace which shows that he is more than ready to start his career in the big league.
Many felt that Dylan Holloway would become a fixture on the top 6 for the Oilers, but after signing a offer sheet with the St Louis Blues and becoming part of their organization after the Oilers had declined to match, Savoie must have been relishing the chance to make his case to become a top player.
According to eliteprospects.com, Savoie who's a center has been projected as an offensive threat along with speed and being a puck handler. He played 23 games with the Moose Jaw warriors scoring 19 goals with 28 assists for 47 points. He was an absolute stud in the playoffs as he played nineteen games and had 24 points.
With training camp on the horizon, Oilers management cannot wait to see their new acquisition who has hope to become an Oilers elite.
