A very impressive stat has emerged as Oilers defenseman Evan Bouchard has been a prolific offensive defenseman in playoff history.

This stat certainly catches people's eye as Bouchard has been ranked alongside Bruins legend Bobby Orr and upcoming avalanche legend Cale Makar. The 24-year-old has been playing outstanding offensive hockey during these playoffs as he leads the NHL in points as a defenseman through nine games, he has scored four goals with 11 assists for 15 points and is a + 8.

He is one of the main cogs of the Oilers power play which has been ranked 1st in these playoffs at 46.7%. He's also out playing Canucks defenseman and captain Quinn Hughes. His minutes have outranked Hughes by almost 3 1/2 to 4 minutes per game and has been prolific five on five.

The Oilers are looking to take charge in this series as game five shifts to Vancouver. It's critical that Bouchard continues to play his style and dominance as the Vancouver Canucks will not back down and make it easy for the Oilers.

Game five is taking place tonight, May 16th and the score is 0-0 with 4 minutes gone in the first.
