The Edmonton Oilers visited the Vancouver Canucks last night for a great rivalry game that ended in a blowout Oilers win, which clearly made one fan in attendance pretty happy.

An Oilers fan was in attendance for the road game and ready to taunt Canucks fans, going off the Mark Messier jersey. The fan chugged a beer out of his boot every time the Oilers scored, and after 7 goals, he'd be stumbling home with some wet feet.

There were plenty of Oilers fans in that section of Rogers Place, and all were hyping the fan up every time he took the shoey. Even a few Canucks fans in the video seemed to be laughing along with the fan.

For a rivalry matchup between two contending teams, this is the kind of atmosphere you'd want in the arena. Even on the road, Oilers fans are always the most passionate - sometimes a little bit crazy - and we love all of it. It's why Oilers fans have a reputation for being some of the absolute best in the sport.

It turned out to be a great night to be an Oilers fan with the 7-3 blowout win, and hopefully a game that can become a turning point for the team to turn around their game.

Stuart Skinner was angered with his teammates, still demanding better after the win, and Connor McDavid called on the Oilers to take this moment and build off of it as well. It feels great for everyone from the fans to players to get a win over a rival team, so hopefully, it does become a catalyst for the Oilers.
