Season ticket holders got first access to tickets earlier in the week, where the cheapest ticket for entry was near $550. Plenty of people must be looking to capitalize on the resale market, as tickets have skyrocketed to above $2000 for Upper Bowl seats.
It's been amazing having a deep run into the playoffs, and for the first time in the McDavid era this is a must-witness event, but the costs are really starting to add up for fans just trying to partake in the moment. Honestly, this five day break before the Final is giving Oilers fans a decent opportunity to rest and recover in all types of ways.
The later games of the Cup Final are already selling for prices that make them the most expensive Oilers games of all time. If the series is extended to six games, it will be a hefty cost to get in the building.
These much higher costs are surely tough on fans, and clearly ownership is trying to cash in on this historic playoff run. Hopefully, fans are rewarded with a Stanley Cup - it's all we can ask for.
