With round 3 already here, the NHL wasted no time in releasing the schedule for games 1-4 for the Oilers-Stars series. Thankfully we have a lot more early start time, with tons of games starting before 7 o'clock.
With the new schedule, tons of fans are ecstatic for the new round. The general feedback seems to be that these early games are better for playoff hockey, and the NHL should consider keeping the remainder of Oilers games at this time.
Oilers and Stars are two teams who are top 5 in offense in the league, while also being top 10 in defense. Both teams know how to play on both sides of the puck, but play totally different styles of hockey.
The Stars play with so much depth that their top 3 lines are almost interchangeable, and they get production from everyone in the lineup. The Stars rarely win in blowouts, instead mostly winning one point games and shutting the other team down. The Oilers however rely on their big players, and if the Stars are able to shut down the Oilers big players, their offense may be prone to drying up. However if the Stars cant shut down the Oilers' big three, it may be a very tough series for them.
No matter what this series is going to be amazing, with lots of offense and many close games. The Oilers are going to have to have their depth step up and shut down the Stars' bottom 9 if they want to stay alive in this ruthless matchup.
