Anaheim Ducks Defensemen Almost Loses His Eye Right Out of The Socket
All great things usually come with some negative side effects. Defenseman with the Anaheim Ducks John Klingberg discovered that the hard way in Chicago on Tuesday night.
The Anaheim Ducks and Chicago Blackhawks are two of the NHL's worst teams, and although the Ducks ultimately won, they suffered a significant loss in defenseman John Klingberg.
Klingberg was going in for a puck pickup in his own zone when Chicago Blackhawks forward Boris Katchouk attempted to stick lift him in a rather "lazy" way from a distance of a few feet behind him. Klingberg got clipped in the eye. making his eye start to bleed and it was quite ugly..
Klingberg left the game, but as hockey players are the toughest ever he did return back to the game just minutes later. Should the NHL require defensemen to wear full face shields? This really could have been MUCH MUCH worse!
