In any case, Auston Matthews, the superstar of the Toronto Maple Leafs, has an opinion on where he wants to play next.

While it's not Arizona, Quebec, Montreal or elsewhere, it would be another place where he could help the NHL's fanbase grow.

One of the possible landing spots for the next Global Series was Mexico City, Mexico, which the NHL revealed as a possible destination.

Matthews' mother Ema is from Mexico City so the star's interest in going south is understandable and Maple Leafs Sheldon Keefe seemed on board with the idea.
