Awesome Mitts from a Rookie Set to Make the Edmonton Oilers
After losing in the Battle of Alberta, the Edmonton Oilers played the Vancouver Canucks today in the Young Stars Tourney in Penticton.
As the team was down by one goal in the second period, Carter Savoie came to the rescue.
Savoie would finish off a teammate's front-net pass to easily tie the game.
This was the second of two goals scored by the Oilers rookies in 49 seconds, assisted by Ethan De Jong.

Clearly, Savoie is doing his best to make the Edmonton team as soon as possible.
After suffering an injury last year, Savoie seems ready to step up already as training camp approaches.
