BREAKING: Canadian Team's Superstar Out For The Rest of The Year
BREAKING NEWS
The Montreal Canadiens brutal season just got a lot harder as they've announced that their #1 forward Cole Caufield is done for the remainder of the year after enduring a season-ending shoulder injury that will require surgery.
There is no set timeline for how long the recovery period will take, it could dig in greatly to this off-season or it could be done before the years over, but the Canadiens may keep him on the injury reserve list just to be safe, and to insure their tank for Connor Bedard.
Caufield played Thursday when they took a pounding by the Florida Panthers, the next day Caufield took place in practice and was a full participant, so this announcement surely came as a surprise for the 22-year old.
Caufield has over 21% of Montreal's goals this season.
