Throughout the Canucks season, the wreckage has continued to worsen, and a coaching change has always been in the wind. Bruce Boudreau, who is the current head coach, has certainly faced his challenges well running this bench. It has been well documented that President Jim Rutherford has not been pleased with his tenure.

According to Elliotte Friedman, While being on the Jeff Marek Show, the Canucks have had discussions with Rick Tocchet was their choice for a replacement. Tocket has ties to Jim Rutherford and GM Patrick Allvin as he served as an assistant coach with the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Currently, the Canucks hit 26th overall in the league and have a record of 17 wins 21 losses, and three overtime losses for 37 points; they hold a 21 goal differential. It will certainly be interesting to see how the Canucks will handle the March third trade deadline as many fans and pundits do not know which direction the Canucks will head.

Will they blow up their roster? Or will they try to make changes on the fly to bolster their roster for the coming seasons? My guess would be they are trying to enter the Connor Bedard sweepstakes
