BREAKING: Ex-NHL Player Sentenced to Six Months in Prison
Former Ottawa Senators' second-round draft pick Gabriel Gagne has been sentenced to six months in prison following his conviction for harassing and threatening an ex-girlfriend over a three-year period.
The 26-year-old forward pleaded guilty to charges of harassment and death threats in May, and the sentence was recently handed down.
While he was acquitted of sexual assault charges and one assault charge was stayed, court documents obtained by TVA Sports reveal the extent of Gagne's relentless calls, texts, and creation of fake social media accounts to circumvent being blocked by his ex-partner.
Gagne, who last played for the Rockford IceHogs in the AHL in 2020-21, is awaiting trial in multiple sexual assault cases.
