During his first interview with the Flyers, recently hired interim general manager Danny Briere made a little jab at Chuck Fletcher. In his closing weeks as general manager, Fletcher repeatedly said that he "did not" want to use the phrase "rebuild," preferring to refer to a "re-tooling" process instead.

Danny Briere started off his first press conference with the following:

'I am not afraid of the word rebuild'

Dave Scott has said that it would be a multi-year process because the Flyers will be starting their rebuilding period for the first time in the history of the team, according to Elliotte Friedman. When the Flyers rebuild, some players might not be willing to stick around for those 2�5 years. According to Briere, all players older than 26 are anticipated to be moved for future assets, but what if one player younger than 26, an unexpected one to put it mildly, is up for trade?

During Thursday morning's episode of his Sportsnet's 32-thoughts podcast, Elliotte Friedman dropped a massive bomb.

Elliotte Friedman reported on his podcast today that Carter Hart will be available.

Veterans with 2-3 years left on their deals who don't fit the timeline of the rebuild will be on the trade block.
Being available doesn't mean Danny B. would actively try to move him

That being said, I can totally see an NHL team from Canada offering a haul for Carter Hart.

A Canadian team you may say? Carter Hart has posted up phenomenal save percentage numbers throughout his NHL career, on a dwelling team that has yet to have a high-end offense and or defense throughout the past five plus years. Carter Hart on ANY of the Canadian team, or any new team in general, will surely thrive.
