BREAKING: NHL Player Safety Announces a 'Joke' of a Punishment
The NHL Player Safety Committee has sparked confusion and debate with its decision to levy only a fine against Max Domi for his slash on Mark Stone during Game 3 of the Western Conference Final.
Domi, a forward for the Dallas Stars, has been fined $5,000, the maximum allowable under the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Critics argue that the punishment fails to match the gravity of Domi's action. This was a very weak one:
This controversial ruling has raised questions about the NHL's disciplinary process and its consistency in addressing player safety concerns. Remember when Draisaitl was two-handed slashed in the Vegas series? That only resulted in a one game suspension.
