Alex Pietrangelo joined the Vegas Golden Knights organization in 2020-2021 as a Stanley Cup-winning veteran. Since arriving there, he has earned an Alternate Captain's patch.

Despite winning 4-1 over San Jose Sharks, bad news lingers as Pietrangelo will not be available tonight.

The #Knights will be without one of their top players tonight against Anaheim.

«He didn't feel great,» Vegas coach Bruce Cassidy said. «List him as day-to-day for now and hopefully he comes around. Right now, he's out tonight.»

After being hit by a puck in the head against the Sharks, he is ruled out for tonight's game against the Anaheim Ducks.

Nicolas Hague will play alongside Kaden Korczak in place of a defenseman who is currently day-to-day.

This will be the team's ninth defenseman played this season, but thankfully it has organizational depth.

«I showed up this morning and my name's on the board. Sucks for Petro,' you never want see someone of his caliber go down like that,» Korczak said. «I'm ready to help out the team for sure..»

Cassidy expects Korczak to slot in right away, become relevant, and win in the meantime.
