The Edmonton Oilers' AHL affiliate, the Bakersfield Condors, made a trade on Tuesday morning, sending 2016 5th round pick Graham McPhee to the Belleville Senators in exchange for defenceman Xavier Bernard.

The Condors have acquired d-man Xavier Bernard from the Belleville Senators in exchange for Graham McPhee.

Before the 202122 season, Bernard, who the New Jersey Devils selected in the fourth round of the 2018 draft, signed an AHL/ECHL contract with the Jr. Senators after being unsigned. He has spent more time with the Atlanta Gladiators of the ECHL, where in 43 games over the past two seasons he has tallied three goals and 19 points. McPhee returned to Boston College following the draft and played for the Condors in 202021. Throughout the past three years, he has made 63 appearances for the team while scoring just six goals and recording 16 points. McPhee has three assists in three games while playing for the Oilers' ECHL affiliate Fort Wayne Komets this season.
