For any hockey fan worldwide who knows about the Edmonton Oilers, one thing is certain if you decide to attend a game it will be probably cold and wintery there. I feel that's all part of the Canadian tradition and walking up to the game and seeing the building and then enjoying a nice hot chocolate or beer are all part of the experience.

During a press conference today, NHL commissioner Gary Bettman defended the city Of Edmonton when he was posed with the question would the NHL consider having an All-Star game in the city?

Another question of what he felt about Brad Marchand's comments about the city of Edmonton and why no one would take discounts to stay there.

Bettman brushed off the comments and felt the city should have an All-Star game at some point soon.

With the Oilers possessing two of the best NHL players in the league, and a state-of-the-art facility with the Rogers arena that was just completed a few years ago it's a little surprising that the Oilers have not had an All-Star game because they want to show off this great building.

I feel it'll be a matter of time before this happens but it will happen.
