Calgary Flames Prospect Facing Charges Back Home In Finland
The Calgary Flames have received terrible news about Topi Ronni, their 2022 draft pick from Tappa Tampere in Liiga, Finland.
According to the Finnish club, Ronnie will be suspended indefinitely as a result of the charges against him.
As a 19-year-old, he was drafted 59th overall by the Calgary Flames in the 2022 NHL entry draft.
Ronni was still considered a minor at the time of the incident, according to the team.
Since the Liiga season started, Ronni couldn't play in the rookie tournament or attend the Flames training camp.
A total of 12 points have been scored by the Finnish center so far in his campaign.
He also played for Finland's world junior squad at the IIHF and the U20 Tappa Tampere (potting 10 points in 7 games) last year.
Numerous incidents have tarnished the image of the hockey world, including Mitchell Miller and the Boston Bruins, and Logan Mailoux and the Montreal Canadiens. In recent years, the hockey world has tried to rehabilitate its image.
Due to the prevalence of these incidents, hockey culture must continue to practice vigilance in order to prevent these from happening.
