Canadian NHL Prospect Knocked Unconscious and Stretchered Off The Ice After Scary Collision
When the San Jose Barracuda and Abbotsford Canucks squared off in an AHL game between the Canucks and Sharks of the NHL's affiliate on Saturday night, a horrifying incident occurred.
Future Vancouver Canucks player Jack Rathbone was involved in a terrifying collision behind his own goal; it looked that he was clipped up high and at a tremendous speed, leaving him motionless on the ice.
Rathbone was left motionless for a significant amount of time before the trainers decided to bring the stretcher out; fortunately, he offered the audience and everyone watching at home a thumbs up as an indication that he is alive.
Rathbone had previously had to be carried off the ice in a stretcher, as noted by BladesofSteel.com. Earlier THIS SEASON, Rathbone was engaged in another serious accident, this is really the definition of tough luck for the Canucks prospect.
