Chicago Blackhawks Drawing Controversy
During the last month, the NHL's "Hockey Is For Everyone" campaign and its "Pride Nights" have sparked a lot of conversation and somecontroversy throughout the league.
Ivan Provorov of the Philadelphia Flyers, started the whole thing off by refusing to warm up in the Pride Night jerseys. The New York Rangers and New York Islanders then made the decision to cancel their pride nights.
The Chicago Blackhawks' decision to host Pride Night suddenly seems to have changed. Instead of wearing any rainbow jerseys, the Chicago Blackhawks took part in Hockey is for Everyone by wearing warm-up jerseys commemorating Black History Month. A very well-handled situation.
