There is no doubt that Connor McDavid is the best all-round player in the NHL. However, the best hands is at risk of being taken.
Young Colorado Avalanche defenseman Cale Makar is making his rounds, and is quickly becoming known for his great deking ability. EA Sports is even seeing that, as they put Makar and McDavid at the same deke rating at a 97 overall.
It may be a little generous to Cale, but it's just EA trying to make their cover star look as good as possible.
Each of them has mastered their craft, and both are very young and very impressive to watch. They will rule the league for years to come.
