At just 26-years of age Connor McDavid has worked wonders with a hockey stick, recording five 100-point seasons out of his six throughout the NHL, and is now on pace to dominate his most recent career high season which is 123 points.
We are slightly passed the halfway mark of this NHL season and McDavid is already at 90 points, he is the fastest players to ever hit the 90-point plateau since Steve Yzerman in the 1992-93 season which was 31 years ago.
Most of his points usually come from assists, but not this season. After Leon Draisaitl mentioned to McDavid that he needs to be more confident in his shooting as he has a scoring touch, McDavid has torn it up and is just three goals away from breaking his own total goal record in a season; and there is 32 games left!
With McDavid having the hot stick, he asked the NHL to not put him in the fastest skater competition at the All-Star skills event that took place last night, McDavid wanted to be crowned the champ of something else, which was accuracy shooting. Just take a look at it below...
McDavid went on to the finals for the accuracy shooting competition, and hit his next 4 for 4 shots with ease and no misses, but somehow still managed to lose to New York Islanders Brock Nelson.
Way to make Edmonton proud Connor!
