It's quite remarkable watching the events unfold in Edmonton with forward superstar Connor McDavid and his relentless offence and point streak that he continues to rack up.

Night after night game after game it seems that no matter what happens whether the Oilers are playing well or not McDavid seems to find his name on the score sheet.

The Oilers were playing the Dallas Stars tonight at home, and McDavid reached the eyepopping stat of 130 points. The last time I've seen a player score this much this quickly was back in the 90s whenever Mario Lemieux was reaching his heights.

The 26-year-old centre has played a total of 69 games and has scored 56 goals, with 74 assists for 130 points. He is currently a + 11 and has a whopping 59 power-play points.

The Oilers continue to roll along as the season concludes, the Oilers have moved into sole possession of third overall in the Pacific division with 82 points.

With numerous teams behind them on steady losing streaks, there is a good chance that the Oilers will be clinching their playoff spot within the next few weeks.
