Director of NHL Central Scouting Compared These Two to Who?
Dan Marr, the Director of NHL Central Scouting, has witnessed numerous prospects come and go through the NHL system, including some who have become stars.
Thus, his praise for these two prospects should not be taken lightly, as they could be the next big thing.
The 2023 draft class is shaping up to be incredibly strong, with multiple players previously considered as potential #1 picks.
Marr was appointed as the Director of NHL Central Scouting after the Atlanta franchise moved to Winnipeg.
Marr spoke highly of Adam Fantilli and Connor Bedard, comparing them to the current Edmonton stars, Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl. While this is not a stylistic comparison, Marr is highlighting their potential to be franchise-changing players.
With only two teams having the opportunity to select either of these talented players, it's intriguing to consider what they could accomplish in the next five years. Only time will tell.
