Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl are among the best duos in the entire NHL. McDavid leads the Oilers in goals and assists, amounting to 92 points while Draisaitl ranks second in goals and assists with 76 points. Both players have been on an absolute tear this season and now with matching mullets may be unstoppable.
Draisaitl was asked in an interview about the matching mullets and how they originated. Draisaitl said that his mullet was an accident and he didn't want one originally. He revealed that McDavid's new hairstyle is the result of a bet. Apparently McDavid made a bet with Dylan Holloway that if the Oilers won six games in a row he would get a mullet.
Draisaitl also went on to say that he likes McDavid's mullet and thinks they both look good with them. Both players are playing at an elite level this season and show no signs of slowing down anytime soon. Maybe these new mullets are the start of something great in Edmonton.
