Draisaitl is the first player in 101 years to do this!
Leon Draisaitl, the Edmonton Oilers' forward, has joined a prestigious club by scoring 11 goals in the first seven games of the playoffs. Draisaitl's incredible feat puts him in the company of two NHL legends: Newsy Lalonde and Babe Dye. Lalonde, who played for the Montreal Canadiens, scored a staggering 15 goals in seven games during the 1919 playoffs, while Dye, who played for the Toronto St. Patricks, scored 11 goals in seven games during the 1922 playoffs.
What's even more impressive is that Draisaitl is the first player in 101 years to score 11 goals in the first seven playoff games. The last player to achieve this was Babe Dye in 1922.
In addition to his remarkable goal-scoring ability, Draisaitl is currently tied for first in points in the playoffs, with a total of 15 points - 11 goals and 4 assists. Draisaitl's contribution has been instrumental in the Edmonton Oilers' success so far in the playoffs.
As the playoffs continue, all eyes will be on Draisaitl to see if he can maintain his incredible form and perhaps even break Lalonde's record for the most goals scored in a playoff series.
