Elliotte Friedman Reveals What The Oilers Are Asking For in Exchange For Jesse Puljujarvi
It's no secret that the Edmonton Oilers and forward Jesse Puljujärvi appear to have near it's end. Unfortunately, Puljujärvi hasn't yet reached his full potential the Oilers were hoping for when they drafted him 4th overall in the 2016 NHL draft.
The 24 year old has been in many trade talks of late and has Oilers fans wondering what a possible return Oilers General Manager Ken Holland is looking for? A draft pick outside of the first round? It's not a matter of if Puljujärvi will be traded, but it's more so when, as he's a restricted free agent this summer.
As for what the Oilers are looking for, according to Sportsnet's Hockey Insider Elliotte Friedman, the Edmonton Oilers continue to try and extract a 2nd round pick from a team in exchange for Puljujarvi. But this is the same return they asked for all summer and didn't get any takers. So Holland might have to lower his price to get a deal done.
