Evander Kane opens a clothing line with Oilers.
It seems that over the past few years, celebrities and athletes are attaching their names to either clothing, alcohol or technology companies to help diversify their funds and to grow their brands.
Recently, it was announced that ice district authentics a clothing brand for the Edmonton Oilers has decided to partner up with Edmonton Oilers forward
Evander Kane.
As Kane has had an improbable path into the NHL, he chose to call his brand Defy. The name seems fitting as he has had some struggles throughout the NHL and in his personal life. This season has certainly shown that as he suffered A grisly injury to his wrist and he was out for many months.
Kane has settled into his life with the Edmonton Oilers, and last season he was a machine during the playoff run in terms of points and overall play.
The 31-year-old left winger has played four games in this playoff has scored two goals with one assist for three points and has eight penalty minutes.
The Oilers hope that Kane will increase his production and be more effective in this playoff to go on the long run.
The Oilers are starting Game 5 tonight against the LA Kings. The series is currently tied 2-2.
