With the NHL's ban on their players being allowed to play in the Olympics, you often get a very interesting mix of guys. NHL future prospects who could be studs, guys who were retired from the NHL but still wanna play hockey, or prospects who never really panned out for one reason or another.

That's what Team Canada got at the 2022 Beijing Olympics, with a very interesting mix of players. The coach was also announced to be Claude Julien, who seemed to be a great fit for the team with his previous Olympic victories and plethora of head coaching jobs. Despite how it may have looked from the outside, it seems like it wasn't all happy on that team.

It's not often that you hear someone give such a scathing review of their former coach, but it's obvious that Jason Demers and other members of Team Canada just didn't mesh with the way Claude Julien coached.

As Demers says, unfortunately Julien did have an accident on the ice where he fractured his ribs, and stepped back from coaching to let interim head coach Jeremy Colliton step in. Demers says that the guys fared much better under Colliton, and it shows in the results with Canada winning a silver medal at the Olympic Games. It's very weird that a player would publicly call out someone who has previously coached them, but thankfully the story ended well for all parties involved.
