Former Oilers favourite delivers massive hit and drops gloves in recent game
Former Edmonton Oilers forward and fan favorite, Klim Kostin, made quite the statement during a recent game.
In a move that thrilled fans and sent shockwaves through the arena, Kostin leveled Cole Sillinger with a massive open-ice body check.
But he didn't stop there, he quickly dropped the gloves with Erik Gudbranson, and both players engaged in an intense bout of fisticuffs, exchanging heavy blows and displaying their toughness.
This memorable sequence highlighted Kostin's physicality and willingness to stand up for his team. It's moments like these that endear players to their fans, and Kostin's aggressive play didn't disappoint.
It's worth noting that Kostin's time with the Oilers came to an end when he was traded to the Detroit Red Wings on June 29, 2023, along with Kailer Yamamoto, in exchange for future considerations.
The impact he made during his time in Edmonton, including memorable plays like this one, will surely be missed by the Oilers faithful.
