Evander Kane Makes A Huge Joke About the Oilers Dismal Start To The Season..
Known for his outspoken remarks, Evander Kane has a history of controversy behind him.
As a reliable scoring winger with grit, he also has a cocky streak behind him. It is undoubtedly no different from his usual old self in the example we are about to discuss.
With his move from San Jose to Edmonton, he has established himself as a first-line player.
Evander Kane jokes about the Oilers 0-2 start.
Should Edmonton be worried?
As a joke, he made light of how the team was starting off the season as if the sky was falling.
Since the team is still at the beginning of the season, he might have the best approach to this.
Currently, the team stands as one of four NHL teams without a point.
In their season opener, the Edmonton Oilers were thrashed 8-1 by the Vancouver Canucks, and then lost 4-3 to their Pacific Division counterparts.
"We understand the expectations, the excitement, and, obviously, the desire to win in this city," Kane said. "We all feel the exact same way. ... We want to put our best foot forward. It's not going to be perfect every night - it hasn't been perfect these first two games - but we look forward to getting better as the season goes on."
Although the team has struggled early in the season, there is still time to turn things around and they could do it against the rebuilding Nashville Predators tomorrow.
Kane is trying to remain calm and collected against the noise, and who can blame him?
