Whether it was his development from management that didn't help or his interest in growing his own game remains to be seen. However, he doesn't seem to be getting the love from the Carolina fanbase these days.
Pujujarvi has been suffering from a lack of confidence since arriving with the Hurricanes a few weeks ago. He has played 14 games, has no goals with two assists for two points and is a minus-three.
Certainly not flattering numbers for a newcomer to a team that is trying to break through the postseason hump past the first round. With Pujujarvi's contract coming to an end this season which held a $3 million cap head, the likelihood of him resigning with any team is quite small.
With each passing game as the season comes to an end and no results coming forward, he'll likely be sitting in the press box when the playoffs begin in may never see the ice again this season.
Meanwhile, the Oilers are on the road and will face the Colorado Avalanche on Tuesday, April 11th. Game time will be at 9:30 PM Eastern.
