Sportsnet NHL insider Elliot Friedman has revealed the Canucks plans and thoughts on where they'd like to see this roster configuration go. According to Friedman, they have indicated they only have one untouchable player and that would be Canucks center, Elias Pettersson.
The unusual season that has been for the Canucks continues to be roiled with rumors and uncertainty as the team continues to struggle. It seems that the Canucks are interested in more of a retool on the fly to change the dynamic and culture of the team rather than a complete teardown and rebuild.
The Canucks fanbase certainly deserves an explanation and a plan to get out of this mess. I'm sure it will be revealed in time at the trade deadline and in the offseason what those plans are.
The Canucks currently sit 25th in the NHL out of 32 teams, they have played 30 games with 13 wins 14 losses, and 3 overtime losses for a total of 29 points.
