Jake Chiasson, a 19-year-old forward, has officially signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Edmonton Oilers, set to begin next season. The Oilers selected Chiasson with the 116th overall pick in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft, and he has been a prospect ever since.

Get to know Jake:

During the 2022-23 season, Chiasson played for both the Brandon Wheat Kings and Saskatoon Blades of the WHL, where he demonstrated his scoring abilities by tallying 20 goals and 54 points in 66 games. This successful season in junior hockey has led to his well-deserved ELC.

While Chiasson will likely need to spend some time in the minors, he will aim to impress the Oilers coaching staff during training camp this summer. His ultimate goal is to become a full-time NHL player and contribute to the Oilers' success in the future. With his impressive performance in junior hockey, Chiasson has shown that he has the talent and drive to make a name for himself at the professional level.
