Goalie Ejected as Brawl Breaks Loose During Last Night's Game
The Los Angeles Kings and Anaheim met in a tense game on Friday night at the Honda Center. Despite being a game between clubs who have been headed in opposite directions in the standings, this game oddly had the atmosphere of a playoff game. The game was tight for the entire of it, but when the Ducks fell behind the Kings in the third period 6-3, their anger erupted into a fight in front of LA Kings goaltenderPhoenix Copley.
A young Copley wanted in on the action last night as he would be given a match penalty for leaving his crease, in hopes of fighting the Anaheim Ducks goaltender John Gibson.
And of course, the referees didn't let the goaltenders fight. The broadcasting announcers were just as bad, saying:
''A goalie fight is not good for the game of hockey''
