This summer and the off-season will be busy for general manager Ken Holland of the Oilers. Holland is in a unique situation as he only has a limited amount of cap space to work with it has to make decisions on seven free agents.

Two in particular, centremen Mattias Janmark and Nick Bjugstad are players that Holland feels he would like to bring back for next year's season.

According to Oilers Access, Holland has said that Janmark has made it clear that he would like to remain with the Oilers as he loves playing for the team in the organization. Janmark's season was a carbon copy in points from last year, where the 30-year-old centre played 66 games, and scored ten goals with 15 assists for 25 points. He was a + 9 and had 30 penalty minutes.

The Oilers would benefit from Holland's offer of a $1.1 million contract for Janmark.

Bjugstad had a quieter start with the Oilers coming over in a trade one day prior to the deadline from the Arizona Coyotes. In his 19 games with the Oilers, he scored four goals, with two assists for six points and was a + 6. In his twelve playoff games, he scored three goals and had 16 penalty minutes.

There was no word on the contract offered. He just finished a $900,000 one-year deal and Holland would likely try to seek the same number.

It'll be interesting to see how Holland navigates these cap issues and assembles a team for October this summer.
