The Edmonton Oilers are without a doubt one of the most deadliest teams in the NHL when it comes to their offense with Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, and Zach Hyman, but one place the Oilers have been criticized was their toughness and depth.

Coming off a 2-1 loss last night to the Minnesota Wild, the Edmonton Oilers are 16-13 this season and currently 4th in the Pacific Division just one point ahead of their Alberta rival the Calgary Flames. With the Oilers banged up Oilers General Manager Ken Holland is looking not only to add some offence but also some depth and toughness.

Ken Holland appears to have two players in mind to definitely check those boxes, according to NHL Trade Rumors the Oilers Gm is looking to acquire Blackhawks Center Max Domi and Flyers forward Zack MacEwen. Domi is 27 and has 9 goals, and 10 assists in 26 games this season. MacEwen is 26 and has 3 goals, and 5 assists in 27 games this season.

Domi would be a sweet pick up, he's been a fan favorite where ever he's played and can play in your top 6 or bottom 6 he can contribute offence and is one of the toughest players in the league. MacEwen is a depth player more a 3rd or 4th line guy but can pop in a goal or two but would be a good enforcer to protect McDavid and Draisaitl.
