Fan favourite Brendan Gallagher will be out for a minimum of six weeks due to suffering a lower-body injury. Gallagher was already off to a rough start with just nine points on the season, which is the worst start ever throughout his many years in the NHL.
On top of that, Gallagher has just got back into the rhythm after struggling with another injury injury which sidelined him for a month, the Canadiens will sure will the heart and soul of the team. Gallagher holds a $6.55 million annual cap hit which is also raising concerns as he's under contract earning that amount until. the 2026-27 season expires.
