Hate' em or Love' em Pk Subban was one of the most talked about players during his career. Subban would surprisingly announce his retirement this summer after playing 13 season's with most of that being with the Montreal Canadiens who drafted Subban back in 2007.
Subban was involved in one of the biggest trades of the year being traded from the Montreal Canadiens to the Nashville Predators straight up for Shea Weber. However Subban was reportedly going to be traded the Oilers, and Subban agreed on that.
A few years later, the Oilers could of signed Subban during this past off-season as a free agent but did not want to meet his pricey asking price. Subban would discuss with Sportsnet that he was surprised and not too happy that the Oilers didn't reach out because Subban would of signed fairly cheap just to play this season.
I was pretty surprised the Oilers didn't reach out Subban said. I felt I could of helped a number of teams, as a free agent. I did want to play on a contending team. I think Edmonton showed some interest but didn't reach out. Carolina did reach out, I did not have any discussions with the Toronto Maple Leafs, they were not interested in signing me. - Pk Subban
Not gonna lie I was hoping to see Pk Subban return to the Montreal Canadiens. How amazing that would of been for Subban, finishing his career where it all started and where he never wanted to leave.
