Shayne Gostisbehere is a defensemen that has had a love/hate relationship with fans in Arizona and Philadelphia, the defensemen is a VERY offensive-defensemen, meaning there is not much upside to his defensive game aside from the odd play, you can say he's a liability sometimes on the defensive end.

For what reason the Oilers would need another offensive defensemen? It doesn't make much sense, but Sportnet's Elliotte Friedman revealed three weeks ago that Gostisbehere is on the Edmonton Oilers radar as they are in search for a defensemen before March 3rd's NHL trade deadline,

Gostisbehere ranks amongst the top-10 NHL defensemen in points, and with one year left on his $4.5 million salary term he makes a perfect fit for a team in search for a budget defensemen of his caliber, but not anymore..

Due to an upper-body injury sustained last Tuesday when the Coyotes played the Anaheim Ducks, Shayne Gostisbehere will now be out for a minimum of four weeks and maybe six weeks or more. This will have a huge negative impact on his trade value since clubs won't know whether he's fully recovered and back to normal if he doesn't return before the trade deadline on March 3.

Shayne Gostisbehere is expected to miss 4 to 6 weeks with an upper-body injury suffered in Tuesday's loss to the Anaheim Ducks.
The injury occurred 5 1/2 weeks before the March 3 trade deadline.
