When the Oilers took to the ice tonight against the Columbus Blue Jackets, fans could not help but notice that goaltender Stuart Skinner was sporting a new look and setup.
The Oilers were sporting their third jerseys tonight and Skinner had black pads and a new mask.
It was a sharp look for both the goaltender and the Oilers, however, did not translate to a win, and the Oilers lost 3-2 against the Blue Jackets. The Oilers are currently in the first wildcard spot and the race seems to be tightening.
At the moment 6 points are separating four teams and two will win the wild card spots.
Skinner himself has been enjoying his year this year since being called up from the Charlotte Condors. He signed a new three-year extension worth $2.6 million a year, he has been enjoying his success with his teammates and his coaches and he has just welcomed his first child into the world with his wife Chloe.
