Over the many years and decades, cross-provincial rivalries have dotted the countryside from the Batlles of Quebec when the Montreal Canadiens played the Quebec Nordiques, to the Battle of Ontario with the Maple Leafs and the Senators in the early 2000s. But one rivalry never seems to die or lose its punch, which happens to be the Battle of Alberta.

Last evening, during the final game of the Battle of Alberta this season, Several Oilers fans gathered and created their chant that trolled the Flames organization.

The chant reflected the Flames losing the series and more importantly how the flames organization cannot construct a new arena and has faced many hiccups.

It's always exciting to see both fan bases having fun against one another and continuing this rivalry that never gets old. With the Edmonton Oilers winning the series with every game decided by a single goal, it would be even better if they were to meet in this year's playoffs.

Edmonton currently holds the 8th playoff spot after passing the Flames with last night's win.
