Oilers forward was injured during Game One.
The Oilers and the Vegas Golden Knights opened their series for round two. Everything was going according to plan up until 16:40 the first when Mattias Janmark took a heavy fall into the boards at a high speed.
Janmark has been a pivotal player along the third line of the Oilers where he is with Warren Foegele and Ryan McLeod. This injury depleted the Oilers even further as Head Coach Jay Woodcroft mentioned at the end of the game that Derek Ryan was missing due to an illness and without Janmark they were down to 10 forwards.
Woodcroft also mentioned there would be an update in the morning on Janmark and see the damage.
In the end, The Oilers spoiled a four-goal performance from superstar Leon Draisaitl, and the Oilers lost the game six to four and gave the Golden Knights a 1-0 lead in the series. Game 2 is held on Saturday, May 6th, the start time will be 7:00 PM Eastern.
