With much of the attention focused on the trade deadline for the Oilers, one can help to know how the team's prospects are doing currently. One prospect in question Jake Chaisson has been lighting it up recently with a torrid amount of points.
Chaisson currently plays for the Saskatoon Blades, Have scored six goals and has 17 points in his last 16 games in the WHL. that is 1.06 points per game stat.
The 19-year-old centre was drafted in the 2021 NHL draft in the fourth round 116th pick overall. He has twenty goals and 38 assists for 58 points between the two teams.
This will bode well for the Oilers and the team is hoping this centre will continue to develop as he is only 19 years old.
There's a good chance that he will try for the team next year in camp.
The Oilers will be on the road and playing against the Arizona Coyotes, on Monday, March 27th game time at 10:00 PM eastern.
