Oilers prospect scores game winning goal to send Bedard home
Edmonton Oilers prospect Jake Chiasson scored the game-winning goal for the Saskatoon Blades in Game 7 of their first-round playoff series against the Regina Pats. The 18-year-old forward's goal helped the Blades eliminate Regina, which included the highly touted Connor Bedard, from the WHL playoffs.
Chiasson finished the regular season with 30 points (10 goals, 20 assists) in 33 games for the Blades. As a rising star in the Oilers organization, Chiasson's clutch performance in Game 7 is a promising sign for his future in the sport.
