Despite the overwhelming fan support the Vancouver Canucks gave towards former Canucks Head Coach Bruce Boudreau, the Canucks Management did him dirty firing him in replace of Rick Tocchet.
Boudreau was very emotional in his last game on Hockey Night In Canada, losing 4-2 to Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers. With fans chanting "Bruce There It Is" all Night including at the final buzzer.
After the game we heard that numerous players wept in tears hugging and saying goodbye to Boudreau who didn't even get a season behind the bench, replacing former Coach Travis Greene last season.
Boudreau would reveal before heading out to play what was his last game telling his players:
We're getting more attention then the Prime Minister. Now let's go out and do this one more time.
- Bruce Boudreau
Boudreau is hoping to return back behind a bench somewhere and with the passion he has and how much he's loved and respected by his players he coaches Boudreau will be back as a head coach sooner rather then later.
