REPORT: 4th Overall Pick Shane Wright to be Traded Just Over 12 Hours After Winning Gold
Not even one full day, but more so just under 12 hours after winning a gold medal during the World Juniors, the Seattle Kraken have made an official decision on Shane Wright.
Wright, who has only appeared in eight games for the Seattle Kraken organization this season has tallied up one goal and one assist, averaging as low as 6.5 minutes in nice time throughout each 60 minute game. He was sent down to the AHL, where he would go on a nice little tear scoring 4 goals in 5 games.
Wright was selected as Team Canada's captain and did a great job leading his country to a gold medal, he scored four goals and racked up three assists, but the Kraken believe he still has a lot of work to do. The Kraken have assigned Shane Wright to the Ontario Hockey League with the Kingston Frontencas.
It's been reported that Wright will be traded to a contending team in the OHL due to Kingston not being in much of a playoff position.
