The Edmonton Oilers haven't had the season they were hoping for after last year's magic run to the Western Conference finals.

The Oilers could use help on the backend, unfortunately one defenceman will never likely see suit up is Oskar Klefbom. The 29 year-old hasn't played since the 2019-20 season and has been on long-term injured reserve with shoulder issues.

The hit hockey Podcast Spittin' Chiclets would discuss Klefbom's injury And the likelihood his career is indeed over.

Klefbom was drafted by the Oilers back in the 2017 NHL draft 19th overall. The big 6'3 220 pound defenceman played in 378 games with the Oilers scoring 34 goals, and adding 122 assists.
