The Edmonton Oilers shut out the Anaheim Ducks 6-0 last night as the team ran on all cylinders, beating down another Pacific Division competitor.

But that isn't all for the Oilers this season as they have been on fire lately and to expound upon it, is Jack Michaels.

The Oilers were overshadowed in the first 90 days of the season, as the Boston Bruins were the best team in the league. But now, the tables have turned in the last 3 months as the Oilers climb in the power-rankings.

How? The Oilers are bound to have 3 players with 100 points on the season, with Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins quietly on pace for a 100-point season as well. The offense is alive and kicking every game, Draisaitl's hat trick against Anaheim on Saturday put him up for 50 goals on the season.

The team is red-hot. They've taken points in 10 straight games, and have won 13 of 16. Against good teams too!�seven of them currently in playoff position. Don't try to tell me Edmonton can't hang with Dallas or Vegas, or even Boston or Toronto, when we all just saw them do exactly that.

With the quality goaltending of Stuart Skinner, who has won 10 of his last 12 games with a .908 SV% they're getting what they need out of the rookie.

So what we have now, is a well-oiled machine ready to push far into the post-season and Ken Holland is to be thanked for the team he created.
