Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman Reveals The Oilers and Minnesota Wild May Combine For a Trade Soon
According to NHL insider Elliotte Friedman, the Edmonton Oilers have expressed interest in Arizona Coyotes forward Nick Bjugstad.
This doesn't come with much surprise as the Oilers are in need for depth scoring in their bottom six, and Bjugstad could be the missing piece they need to get some depth scoring. Bjugstad 30 has had a very solid season with the Coyotes this year as he has 11 goals and 21 points on the season in just 50 games. Offence isn't the only thing he could bring to the table for the Oilers, he also plays a very physical game and is solid on the defensive end, which makes him the perfect addition to the Oilers if they want to make a deep run again.
With the trade deadline being less than 5 weeks away we will have to wait and see if this is someone the Oilers would like to acquire or if they are going to go after someone else!
