The Edmonton Oilers and Calgary Flames opt out
The Calgary Flames and Edmonton Oilers are both based in the Alberta province and often compete for fans, market share, and players.
However, it is unclear if they have any communication or collaboration between their organizations. Interestingly, both teams were the only ones in the NHL to not participate in "Pride Month" on social media.

While Calgary wore pride jerseys, Edmonton chose not to earlier in the year.
It raises questions about whether these decisions were made independently or with communication between the teams' governors.
This lack of transparency can be confusing and concerning for both players and fans alike.
